Day 68

Day 68 - second fit for electrics have been installed. Not overly impressed with the final finish - the sockets are not straight and the light pendents are showing some wires. The outside render has been painted.

Day 66 - We are weather tight, for the first time in 12 weeks, I don’t need to worry about the weather. The outside dormers are rendered and the outside wood work has been installed.

Day 64 - the plastering is now 100% complete. The 4 doors are now hung and dresses and the velux window above the stairs has been installed. We even have window cills. The front door is to be hung, so I made templates of all the door furniture and stuck it on the door so that the chippy would know exactly what is required. If I’ve learnt one thing working with this polish team is to be as simply descriptive as possible to avoid any misunderstandings.

Day 59 - Bathroom in but waste pipe attached to broken pipe so that needs fixing. The bathroom window and second bedroom has been fitted. Need to go through some details with builder as deadlines are getting passed. Had to haggle over doors being installed which was disappoiting but all has been resolved. Only 8 more days of wor until complete……we’ll see.

Day 56 - the floors are in. The rooms now look like rooms and hopefully the dust level, that falls everyday, will now decrease. The bathroom has started to be installed.
