Day 54

Day 54 - For the first time in the houses 100 years history, it has stairs. It is now, no longer and bungelow but a house - quietly proud of that, if truth be told. The plastering is now down to 1 wall to be done and the stairwell has been cutout and built.

Day 50 - 90% plastering complete, radiators are installed and most importantly, the stairs have starts to be built against the new wall. We’ve come to the conclusion that continuing to the next stage - ground floor - is dispressing, but not as dispressing as living ‘normally’ and then starting all over again. So when we move upstairs, the sledgehammer comes out to play.

Day 42 - Plaster board is going up. Work slowing down without the foreman being present (on another job at a school) Building control has asked for extra work to be done on the structure. Double joints on dormers, plywood on all joints facing an outside wall. This will cost us another £100 and put us back a couple of days. One window broken already.
